Who We Are

The WCARTC is an Accredited Private Post-secondary Educational Institution registered with the Department of Education in the State of Wyoming. The facility is located in Casper, WY and is currently housed on 76 acres and includes over 22,000 square feet of classroom space. The location also includes a shop, heavy equipment training area, three rig pads, with a drilling rig, and training derrick. The facility has a 1.2 mile driving track along with a skills pad used to teach commercial truck driving skills. The WCARTC has trained across the Rocky Mountain Region as well as in Canada and Mexico. WCARTC staff backgrounds are comprised of multiple years of experience with construction, heavy equipment, Federal and State DOT compliance, law enforcement, occupational safety, transportation, medical administration, as well as extensive training experience in the oil and gas service industry.

The WCA Regional Training Center is owned and operated by the Wyoming Contractors Association (WCA). The WCA is a 501 (c) (6) organization that has been in existence since 1932. In 1998, members of the WCA developed the Construction Careers Foundation a 501 (c) (3). The Foundation, in cooperation with the Wyoming Contractors Association, originally purchased 38 acres of property in Casper, Wyoming and built what was then called the WCA McMurry Regional Training Center with the purpose of providing technical education and safety training to construction firms during the winter season. The training center opened in February 2001 with 5,000 square feet of classroom space and later expanded in 2008 with the addition of its current classroom building. In December 2014, the WCA Board of Directors approved a name change from the WCA’s McMurry Training Center to the WCA Regional Training Center.
