Entry Level Carpentry Training
The Entry Level Carpentry Training is a six-week course. The course curriculum is from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Carpenters are involved in many different kinds of construction activities, from building highways and bridges to installing kitchen cabinets.

- Basic Safety
- Construction Math
- Introduction to Hand Tools
- Introduction to Power Tools
- Introduction to Construction Drawing
- Basic Rigging
- Basic Communication Skills
- Basic Employability Skills
- Introduction to Materials Handling
- Orientation to the Trade
- Building Materials
- Hand and Power Tools
- Reading Plans and Elevations
- Floor Systems
- Wall and Ceiling Framing
- Roof Framing
- Introduction to Concrete and Reinforcing Materials
- Windows and Exterior Doors
- Basic Stair Layout
Student Requirements:
- Drug Free
- Strong Work Ethic
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable Transportation
- Steel Toed Boots
Students will receive a certification of course completion from the WCA Regional Training Center and will also receive an NCCER Certificate of completion and wallet card.
